Lego Ideas “vintage car contest” open for fan voting

Earlier today, Lego Ideas opened up fan voting for their vintage car contest. The contest drew an incredible 1101 entries and the Lego Ideas team narrowed that down to their top 15 selections. You only have until December 4 to pick your favorite choice.

The top 15 designs were picked based on coolness and originality, most inspired details, relevance to the theme, and best use of LEGO elements. They include two police cruisers, four delivery trucks, and four roadsters. The 15 finalists also include a vintage ice cream truck, two antique-styled cars, a pickup truck, and a classic woody station wagon.

One grand prize winner will be selected, based on the fan votes. The winning design will be featured in a future Gift for Purchase set. In addition, the winning designer will receive an impressive selection of Lego gifts, most notably the two most recent Lego Creator Expert sets — 10260 Downtown Diner and 10264 Corner Garage.

Five runner-up designers will also receive the Downtown Diner set and the 40335 Space Rocket Ride. You may remember the Space Rocket Ride as the last winner of a Lego Ideas contest to be featured as a Gift for Purchase set.
