Next up in our review of the latest LEGO Ideas projects to achieve 10,000 supporters and qualify for the First 2020 LEGO Ideas Review is “Blue Origin New Glenn Rocket, Launch Tower & Blue Moon Lander – 1/110 Scale Set”. This collaborative project was created by two veterans of LEGO rocket designs on LEGO Ideas, Saturn V Lego set co-designer Valerie Roche (Whatsuptoday) and her Space X The Ultimate Collection co-designer Matthew Nolan.

The 1:110 scale Blue Origin set includes a total of 2675 parts and is based on the New Glenn rocket from Blue Origin, which is designed to carry people and payloads to Earth orbit, the Moon, and beyond. Its first launch is expected in 2021.

The design proposal consists of a two-stage rocket and carries a payload of a Blue Moon lunar lander, a rover, and a satellite. The set also includes the launch tower and launch pad.

“Blue Origin New Glenn Rocket, Launch Tower & Blue Moon Lander – 1/110 Scale Set” is one of an unprecedented 26 projects to qualify for the First 2020 LEGO Ideas Review. You can view all of the projects that have qualified for the review on the Ideas page of the BrickGeekz Blog. You can also read our blog post on the 12 projects that are currently under consideration for the Third 2019 LEGO Ideas Review.
Results of both LEGO Ideas reviews will be announced later this year.
